Mountain Dreamer
Honestly, some people see the stone faces on Pilot Mountain’s trails and some don’t. No worries either way. The main question asked at talks is are the stone faces natural or man-made? That question was the reason the North Carolina Division of Natural and Cultural Resources banned the book from sale at the mountain. The deeper question is do the stone faces have a heartbeat in the consciousness sense of Ontology Physics and can you communicate with them? After all, they could be 1.6 billion years old and might have some wisdom to share with humans.

Author's Talk On Pilot Mountain
This is my second talk on the mountain from last summer at Twin Lakes in Burlington, North Carolina that was SRO. Since then I’ve done over a dozen talks but each one has different slides for the Powerpoint so no two are alike.

Devil's Den Area and Cave Entrance
Very curious spot on the Pilot Knob Trail that is called the Devil’s Den and has an entrance to a rather famous cave that is now blocked by boulders.

Formation of the Pyramid Shadow
This was an attempt by the author to do a video of the pyramid shadow forming from the air in an airplane. It was a very hazy day and we only got one pass by the shadow before the sun was blocked by the haze.

Stone Face on a Trail
This video below was taken on a day that a cloud covered the entire top of the mountain along the Ledge Spring Trail. This is a stone face which reminds the author of a Moai on Easter Island and it even has a top knot. When Dr. Robert Schoch was shown an image of this particular stone face via email he was intrigued by the notch on the lower right portion of the top knot but did think it was otherwise natural. Forensic geologist, Scott Wolter, toured the Pilot Knob Trail around the Big Pinnacle with the author on June 24,2025 and also felt the stone faces were natural. The author had already taken out the question, “are the stone faces natural or man-made?” that the NC Division of Natural and Cultural Resources objected,k but even after it was deleted the ban continued for the book onsite. This ban is also making research difficult and the one permit that was approved did not allow the author to tape record of video anyone on the mountain. The subject of the permit was the local oral history of the mountain by visitors on the fourth of July weekend in 2025.

Fire Damage at Pilot Mountain
This video is from the Winston-Salem Journal of the aftermath of the Pilot Mountain State Park fire. While there was serious damage to the Little and Big Pinnacle, elsewhere in the main, it was a ground level forest floor fire. They had a plan for a control burn of the entire mountain that they had never used, but put it into effect within 24 hours of the start of the fire.
